According to Hindu mythology, Shri Adi Shankaracharya is credited with coining the term ‘Char Dham’.The literal definition of Chardham is ‘Four houses of God’. The yatra includes visit to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, located in the different districts of Uttarakhand. Each site is devoted to Hindu Gods Shiva (Kedarnath), Vishnu (Badrinath), Ganga (Gangotri) and Yamuna (Yamunotri).It is believed that peoplecan reach salvation here. A. Yes. All fully vaccinated tourists will be allowed for ChardhamYatra from 5th May 2022.

A. April to June & September to October end is the best time to visit Chardham.

A. The Chardham package includes visit to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

A. The temples have different timings:
Yamunotri remains open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Gangotri temple timings are 6:15 AM to 9:30 PM
Kedarnath temple is open from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM Badrinath temple timings are 4:30 AM to 3:00 PM

A. Yes. However, it is advised that people who have respiratory problems or cardio-vascular problems should seek doctor’s advice before taking up Chardham journey.
